Wonder World @ Incubator Gallery, Bushwick NYC

Bushwick, Brooklyn — November 2–30, 2025
John Holt’s Incubator Studio Gallery at the 56 Bogart building presents “Wonder World,” an eclectic group show bringing together four distinctive voices in contemporary art: Dasha Bazanova, Mandy Henson, Dave Alexander, and Merritt Barnwell.
Playful, provocative, and visually charged, Wonder World celebrates imagination in all its extremes—from satire and surrealism to color, texture, and pop absurdity.
Dave Alexander contributes a single photographic image from his ongoing Droning series, the image is called “Dick Pic“—a tongue-in-cheek self-portrait that merges ego, politics, and visual puns with unabashed humor. As Alexander puts it, “No deeper thought or narrative needed. Just a capital T (overturned) as a penis.” Alexander adds, “I heard the overturned T, being used as a penis, stands for Trump, but – I don’t know if that’s true, or what it means – maybe it is true, maybe it means he’s a dick, who knows, I’ve never met him…I just hear that people say it is true.“
The exhibition runs November 2–30, 2025, with a reception on Sunday, November 2, 1–5 PM.
Gallery hours: Sundays, 1–6 PM
